INCUS Performance is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the London Triathlon 2019.
The London Triathlon, which takes place on 27-28 July at the ExCeL Centre, London Docklands, will be the first time the INCUS | NOVA platform will be used in a race scenario. To date, INCUS has focused on informing technique and training for its athlete and club network in the Midlands, from its HQ at Loughborough University.
INCUS | NOVA is the first wearable to bring laboratory-grade analysis to the fingertips of swimmers and triathletes, while being simple and easy to use for all abilities. Through a single, premium device, INCUS notes that it ‘delivers data-driven insight to assist technique, manage training load, reduce injury and achieve faster times across all triathlon disciplines.’
The NOVA, INCUS | Machine Intelligence is an analytics engine. Underpinning a cloud platform, the ‘automatically transforms complex data into clear, simple and personalised actions to apply in training.’
As part of the newly announced collaboration, selected athletes will be competing in the London Triathlon wearing the INCUS | NOVA device, with the team providing direct feedback and analysis post-race. INCUS will also have a presence at the athletes’ village, allowing visitors the opportunity to get an early look at the technology and meet the engineers behind the company.
Speaking ahead of the collaboration with London Triathlon, Chris Ruddock, Lead Engineer and Managing Director of INCUS Performance said, “After years of development and validation with our athlete and club network in a training environment, we’re really excited to finally show off the capabilities of the INCUS | NOVA in a race scenario at the London Triathlon.”
He continued, “Swimming has been left in the dark when it comes to quality wearable technology. The NOVA signifies a new era in wearable analytics, combining quality measurement with easy-to-apply analysis. We’re looking forward to offering swimmers and triathletes at the London Triathlon an opportunity to experience the power of INCUS analytics and to explore their story through data.”
