Swam the set of my life in the pool this morning after working on a few changes. The NOVA is already making a massive difference.
Identifies where I need to improve the most
Although the raw data is extremely technical, the NOVA works with an app which means you don’t need a sports science degree to work out what and where you can improve or identify what works well for you. For me the range in data, including velocity, gave me the confidence to know that whilst I might not be a technical pool swimmer, my hotchpotch open water technique works for me and I was accelerating in the right places.
Unobtrusive device with instant results
It’s so unobtrusive that the only danger is forgetting to turn it off in T1. The results are instant and over 1.5km it picked out plenty to work on.
Helps maximise my training
As a Modern Pentathlete I have a limited amount of time in the pool meaning that technical work is so important and the INCUS NOVA helps me to maximise my training and monitor differences from session to session. Velocity Gain is the most useful metric for me as I can see the asymmetry between my right and left strokes.
